It has designed watchbands that are 22mm thick and fit right through the pocket clip. Costing around $17 USD the bands come in a variety of colors and widths. Nature with its vivid and instinctive designs has inspired man in all ages and environs. Drawing inspiration from shades or effects created by light after passing through the branches of trees, designer Andre Coelho has developed an outdoor light named the “Voronoi Lamp” that seems to bring some natural elements to contemporary urban landscape, which is characterized by the cramped jungle of concrete build in a haphazard manner. Featuring organic patterns portrayed by nature, the street lamp offers shadow to the passersby during the day. While on the other hand, it creates a magical lighting ambience at night. The only missing thing is the solar planes, which surely would bring it more close to the nature.

Designed as a permanent dwelling for the Bay of Caletilla, Acapulco the Floating Island takes its inspiration from microorganisms inhabiting the marine world. The fiberglass structure designed by Pedro Reyes closely replicates the unicellular exoskeleton form of sea microorganisms like the radiolarian and diatomea in its form. The Floating Island consists of a hollowed center which becomes a round pool in the bottom with a zenithal light doom. Extremely rational in its form and design, the island resembles natural characteristics of a shell which make it automatically beautiful.

“Cyclisk,” a monumental public art sculpture built from bicycle parts standing tall on a street corner in Santa Rosa, California holds different meanings for an onlooker’s eye. For once it looks like a gigantic block that reuses discarded bicycle parts for good hence making it an ecological art piece reducing waste. This could well become the most unfortunate reality if we fail to understand the true meaning behind the effort. The sculpture denotes something larger and deeper.
